Last Time Out
Ole Miss scored first but Tennessee came back and scored three unanswered goals to beat the Rebels, 3-1. Mandy McCalla scored her third goal of the year in the match. Sarah Story made eight saves in goal for Ole Miss while Baird made six for Tennessee. The Lady Vols outshot the Rebels 24-13 in the match. McCalla led Ole Miss with five shots.
Rebels vs. Ranked Foes
Through its non-conference schedule, the Rebels faced two top-25 teams. Ole Miss fell to No. 8 Santa Clara 3-1 at the Inn at St. Mary's Classic hosted by Notre Dame. The Rebels hosted No. 20 Memphis, falling to the Tigers, 2-1. In conference play, four of Ole Miss' first five conference games are against ranked foes. Ole Miss beat No. 25 Auburn, 2-1, on September 26. The Rebels fell at No. 20 South Carolina and No. 6 Florida while Ole Miss recorded a 0-0 (2OT) tie with No. 18 Georgia.
Ole Miss vs. LSU
LSU leads the all time series, 7-6-3. Last season, Ole Miss and No. 15 LSU battled to a 0-0 double overtime tie in Oxford. Three of the last four meetings between the two schools have ended in a tie.
Scouting LSU
LSU is 5-6-3 overall and 2-2-2 in SEC play. The Tigers are coming off a 1-0 double overtime win against Kentucky and a 1-0 loss to Vanderbilt. LSU is led offensively by Natalie Martineau and Addie Eggleston who have each recorded 10 points this year. Keepers Megan Kinneman and Mo Isom have each recorded seven starts on the year. Kinneman is 3-2-2 and has a GAA of 0.53 while Isom is 2-4-1 and has a GAA of 0.83.
Ole Miss vs. Arkansas
Ole Miss leads the all-time series, 12-3. Last season Ole Miss recorded a 1-0 win over the Razorbacks.
Scouting Arkansas
Arkansas is 4-8-2 overall and 1-4-1 in the SEC. The Razorbacks are coming off a 2-1 overtime loss to Vanderbilt and a 2-0 win over Kentucky. Kelsey Allison leads the team with eight points. Keeper Britni Williams has started 14 games this year, has made 81 saves and has a GAA of 1.28.
Offense Looking to Get Back on Track
During its last two road games, Ole Miss was outscored 6-0 and recorded just six shots in two matches. Prior to that game, Ole Miss had recorded two goals in two games and recorded 25 shots. The Rebels have scored just two goals (at Auburn and vs. Tennessee) dating back to the 81st minute against Auburn on Sept. 26.
Story Tied for 10th All-Time in Shutouts
Freshman keeper Sarah Story has recorded three shutouts this season and is tied for 10th all-time in Ole Miss' record book. She is on pace to crack the top-10 for saves in a season. Story has recorded 59 saves in 12 games and needs 13 saves for sole possession of 10th on the single-season saves list. With her 59 saves in her short career, Story is already eighth on Ole Miss' career saves list.
Story Sets Saves in a Game School Record
Freshman keeper Sarah Story continues to impress in goal as recorded a career-high and program-high for saves in a game with 17 against No. 18 Georgia. Story stopped a penalty kick against Alabama and has made several key saves for the Rebels during the season. Story has recorded three shutouts this year and has allowed 18 goals and has a GAA of 1.54
Freshman Impact
Ole Miss' freshmen class is having quite an impact on the team this season. Three freshmen (goalkeeper Sarah Story, forward Mandy McCalla and midfielder Erin Emerson) are all starters this season. Story has posted three shutouts and is 4-6-1 in goal this season. McCalla leads the team in assists (4) and is second in both points (10) and goals (3). Emerson has recorded four points this year on one goal and one assist and is fourth on the team in points.
Jordan Having a Breakout Season
Through 15 games this year Dylan Jordan has already set a career-high in goals in a season with seven. She tied her game-highs for goals (2) and points (5) in a match during a win over McNeese State. Jordan is three goals away for a tie for 10th all-time on Ole Miss' single-season goals list.
Success With Set Pieces
Against No. 25 Auburn, Ole Miss scored both of its goals off set pieces. Taylor Cunningham scored on a free kick while Dylan Jordan scored off a header on a corner kick.
Ending Non-Conference Play Tough
Ole Miss has recorded four shutouts this year including back-to-back shutouts to end non-conference play. During that span, the Rebels allowed just three goals in its last four games. Goalkeepers Sarah Story and Allie Ronaldi have each posted two solo shutouts this season. The Ole Miss defense held Southern Miss without a shot on goal in the Rebels' 3-0 win.
Heads Up
Through four games at home (Sept. 10-19), Ole Miss scored 10 goals, five of which have been scored on headers. The Rebels scored on three headers against McNeese State, two off crosses and one off a corner kick. Against Southern Miss, Ole Miss scored two of its three goals on headers from crosses. Ole Miss also scored on a header for the game-winning goal against No. 25 Auburn.
Offense Hot in September
Ole Miss scored 12 goals in its last six matches, spanning from September 10-26, and has taken the fifth-most shots in program history. Against McNeese State, the Rebels fired off 36 shots which is tied for the fifth-most shots in program history. Through its first five matches of the season, Ole Miss recorded three goals while allowing eight.
Jordan Leads Team in Game-Winners
Dylan Jordan has recorded a team-high four game-winning goals this season. Jordan has recorded the game winners against No. 25 Auburn McNeese State, TCU and Middle Tennessee State.
Rebels in the SEC Stats
As of Oct. 10, Ole Miss is fifth in corner kicks (72) and tied for ninth in goals (16). The team is also fourth in saves (72) and seventh in shots (201). Individually, Dylan Jordan is tied for first in game-winning goals (4), tied for sixth in points (15) and is tied for seventh in goals per game (0.47).
Jordan, Story Earn SEC POW Honors
Dylan Jordan and Sarah Story earned their first SEC Player of the Week Honors of the year on September 20. Jordan was named SEC Offensive Player of the Week while Story was named SEC Freshman of the Week.
First Road Game Not Uutil SEC Play
Ole Miss' game at Alabama on September 24 marked the Rebels' first true road game of the season. Through non-conference play, the Rebels only played two matches away from the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium but both matches were played at a neutral site. The team played both games in the Inn at St. Mary's Classic in South Bend, Ind.
Rebels on Television
Sunday's Auburn game, televised by ESPNU, will be one of four Rebel contests scheduled for live TV this season. Since the birth of SEC soccer in 1995, the Rebels have been among the league's most televised clubs. Prior to this season, Ole Miss has played in 16 televised matches, including a school-record three appearances last year. The Rebels are scheduled for at least four TV appearances this year - Sept. 26 at Auburn (ESPNU), Oct. 1 at South Carolina (Fox Soccer Channel), Oct. 10 vs. Tennessee (CSS) and Oct. 17 vs. Arkansas (SoortsSouth). The Ole Miss Soccer Stadium has previously hosted four TV broadcasts, including the championship game of the 2002 SEC Tournament. The Rebels' 1995 matchup at Arkansas was the first SEC soccer match on TV.
Ole Miss Picked Third in West by SEC Coaches
Ole Miss was predicted to place third in the SEC Western Division by the SEC soccer coaches in a preseason poll. The Rebels were picked third with 47 points, including two first-place votes, behind Auburn (61) and LSU (58). Florida was selected as the favorite to claim the 2009 SEC title and the Eastern Division crown.
T. Cunningham, Snow Tabbed Preseason All-SEC
Ole Miss senior Taylor Cunningham and junior Meredith Snow were named to the soccer coaches preseason All-SEC team. The honors are the first career Preseason All-SEC selections for both Cunningham and Snow.
2010 SEC Soccer Tournament
Entering the 2010 season, Ole Miss is one of just two league schools (Florida) to earn a berth in each of the last 13 SEC Tournaments. The Rebels have made four semifinals appearances and played in the 1999 championship match against the Gators. The top eight teams in the final regular-season standings advance to the tournament. The tournament's winner is granted an automatic bid into the NCAA Tournament. The SEC has hosted a postseason tournament every year since 1993. It returns for a seventh time to the Orange Beach Soccer Complex in Orange Beach, Ala., in 2010.

The Rebels play their last home match of the season against Kentucky on Thursday, Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. Ole Miss will finish the regular-season on the road at Vanderbilt on Oct. 24 at 2 p.m. and at Mississippi State on Oct. 29 at 7 p.m.
