OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's golf team will conclude the fall part of its season this week at the second annual David Toms Intercollegiate in Baton Rouge, La., at the Country Club of Louisiana.
The two-day, 54-hole championship kicks off with the first and second rounds on Monday with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. CT. The final round will be held Tuesday with tee times beginning at 8 a.m. The course will play to a par 72, 6,849 yards.
This year's field includes No. 8 Arkansas and No. 9 LSU. Ole Miss is ranked No. 45, followed by No. 46 Southeastern Louisiana. Rounding out the 14-team field this week is UAB, Georgia Southern, Kansas State, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State, North Florida, Rice and South Alabama.
The Rebels will be going for their third straight top-five finish after a solid final round of 280 at the Brickyard Collegiate vaulted them to fifth in the final standings. Ole Miss finished fourth in the inaugural David Toms Intercollegiate last year.
Ole Miss will send out on the course three players who have competed in every tournament this fall. Junior Billy Brozovich enjoyed his best tournament as a Rebel tying for fifth at the Brickyard with a final round career-best 65. He will be joined by senior Jonathan Randolph, junior Joe David, sophomore Tom Brown and freshman Kyle Kmiecik, who will make his debut for the Rebels.
"We had success here last year at this tournament, and we are looking forward to building off of our last round at the Brickyard and concluding the fall on a high note," head coach Ernest Ross said. "It's exciting for Kyle to be making his debut."
