OXFORD, Miss. - Sophomore setter Amanda Philpot has been named the Southeastern Conference Player of the Week following a pair of wins over Mississippi State and Alabama, the league office announced on Monday.
The sophomore recorded her first triple-double of her career on Sunday to help the Rebels rally to defeat the Crimson Tide and run the team's current win streak to seven consecutive matches. Ole Miss currently sits atop the SEC Western Division standings and is in second place in the overall standings.
The Rebels are 16-5 on the season and 10-2 in SEC play, marking the best start in conference play in program history for Ole Miss.
