Welcome to The University of Mississippi Athletic Department Compliance website. The website is a tool to be used by all to reference many NCAA rules which apply to our alumni and alumnae, boosters, prospects, student-athletes, and coaches and support staff. We appreciate your patience as we develop this site into a user-friendly website. All applicable situations cannot be covered in this website. If you should have any questions regarding compliance, please contact our office. Ole Miss appreciates your interest and support. REMEMBER, COMPLIANCE IS EVERYONE'S RESPONSIBILITY!
Compliance Office Mission Statement
The mission of the University of Mississippi's Athletics Compliance Office is to educate coaches, staff, student-athletes, and alumni and friends of the University to ensure an understanding of the rules of the NCAA, SEC, and institution and to coordinate and monitor their efforts to comply with these rules and regulations. To ensure this end, the Compliance Office will promote communications and the principle of institutional control and ethical conduct within the University community.
A Message From The Athletics Director
Alumni and friends of Ole Miss: We at The University of Mississippi want to thank you for your support and efforts in helping our athletic department field competitive and exciting teams with ambitious student-athletes. Your support is invaluable. More importantly, however, is our commitment to ethical conduct and rules compliance. Each alumnus and friend of The University of Mississippi is expected to comply with the bylaws, regulations, and policies of The National Collegiate Athletic Association, The Southeastern Conference, and the University. Athletic programs are the most visible and scrutinized part of a university. Compliance is not just a commitment to ethical conduct but a tangible demonstration of rules education. You, the Ole Miss family, can help us in this area. It involves all of us. By making you aware of rules that apply to our athletic program, you can help make sure that we abide by these regulations and keep our program compliant. Should you have a question regarding actions that might involve a student-athlete, please call our Compliance Office first. Let's work together to attain this goal!
Thank you, and GO REBELS!
Sincerely,
Pete Boone
Director of Athletics
