About the SEC Digital Network
The SEC Digital Network is a strategically integrated digital distribution network and content web portal designed to reach and create SEC fans around the world. The SEC Digital Network will empower coverage of SEC sports on all multi-media distribution channels, including a web portal that will be maintained and controlled by XOS Digital on behalf of the Southeastern Conference.
Definition of Position:
SEC Digital Network (SECDN) Internship Program is designed to support the campus content capture and day-to-day operations integral to the success of the robust SECDN portal. Interns will facilitate all aspects of content capture and ingestion on campus, including, but not limited, to live capture, archive content ingest and associated meta-tagging of content within the XOS Vault infrastructure. All SECDN interns will receive training from XOS to properly operate live capture and ingest hardware and software.

SEC Digital Network Assistant GM, SEC Account Manager, SECDN General Manager, XOS Digital Support Team, XOS Digital EVP of Production and Programming
Internal Communications:
SECDN Campus Liaison, Sports Information Department, Video Department, Campus Archives, Webmaster, IT Department
Responsibilities:
- Communicate regularly with SECDN Assistant GM, SEC Account Manager, XOS Support Team
- Game Day Live Ingest Support
- Assist with set up and breakdown of all live capture equipment
- Ensure that content capture and transmission to SEC Vault occur successfully
- Archive Content Ingest Support
- Work with Sports Information Department and Campus Archives to identify valuable archive content, including both photo and video assets
- Ingest archive content into the Vault with required metadata
- Submit Ingest log sheets in a timely manner
- Streaming Event Support
- Assist with set up and breakdown of all equipment for as needed live streaming events
- Coordinate with XOS Digital Project Manager and Production Team as needed for live streaming
- Promotion of the SEC Digital Network on Campus
- With approval of SECDN Staff and Campus personnel, develop and execute promotions on campus designed to increase awareness of and drive visitors to secsports.com
- Build email database of University fans and utilize social networking platforms to promote the SECDN
- Original Content Production
- Exceptional candidates may have the opportunity to produce original content for SECDN, official athletic website and/or University social networking platforms
- Other duties as assigned
- Local Market Enforcement
- Assist with identifying and documenting local market photo and video infringement
- Communicate with SECDN Staff regarding all suspected infringement
Position Requirements:
- Must be currently enrolled in school (Undergraduate or Graduate applicants accepted)
- Candidates with experience in college athletics, technology and/or related field(s) or those pursing a Bachelors or Masters with a focus in Communications, Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film preferred
- Must be available to work non-traditional hours, including game days and special events
- Strong knowledge of and interest in college sports, technology and/or the media landscape required
- Creative thinking and problem-solving skills necessary
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented and strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks
- Desire to learn and quickly adapt to new technology platforms
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Operational experience in a production environment and/or with coaching software a plus
- Excellent computer skills
- Capable of professional behavior in sports/entertainment environments
Time Commitment Required: 20 hours per week (including game days)
Position Type: Paid (Monthly Stipend)
