Bozeman, Tisher Compete In Heptathlon

DES MOINES, Iowa - Ole Miss freshmen Brittany Bozeman and Neal Tisher both competed in the heptathlon and took part in four events Wednesday at the USA Junior Track and Field Championships.

Bozeman sits in third place in her heat with a total of 824 points, while Tisher is fifth in her heat with 781 points.

Tisher placed seventh in the 100 meter hurdles with a time of 14.58 before Bozeman turned in a 12th place finish with a mark of 14.87. Bozeman finished in 26th place in the high jump with a height of 4-11.50, while Tisher took 31st place with her height of 4-10.25.

In the shot put, Bozeman tallied a third place finish with a distance of 36-05.75, while Tisher recorded a 19th place finish with a distance of 30-02.25. Bozeman finished in 11th place in the 200 meters with a time of 25.69, and Tisher took 17th place in the race with her time of 26.18.

Ole Miss returns to action Thursday morning at 11 a.m. when the duo picks up the heptathlon with the long jump.
