Tickets On Sale For Alumni Baseball Game

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss baseball team will be holding the programs first-ever alumni game on Saturday, February 5, and Rebel fans and baseball fans alike can come be a part of the fun as the current Rebels take on Ole Miss baseball alums currently playing in the professional ranks.
Tickets are on sale now for the inaugural event for $5, with all proceeds going to the Ernie Labarge Bullpen Club to help support the Ole Miss baseball program.
Fans can purchase tickets through the Ole Miss baseball office by contacting Fuller Smith at 662-915-7795 or at Rebel Rags in Oxford. Fans can also purchase tickets at home basketball games.Fans can also purchase tickets online here.
Students will be admitted to the game free with their ID.
A part of the program's alumni weekend, the Alumni Game will begin at 1 p.m. at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field and will feature several former Rebel players who currently play in the professional ranks, including several members of Major League organizations.
Some of the players playing in the big leagues taking the field to compete against the current Rebel squad will include 2009 National League Rookie of the Year Chris Coghlan (Florida Marlins), outfielder Alex Presley (Pittsburgh Pirates) and infielder Matt Tolbert (Minnesota Twins).
Also competing as a part of the alumni squad are several Rebels who are quickly rising through the professional ranks on their way to the Major Leagues. Some of those players include left-hander Drew Pomeranz - the fifth overall pick in the 2010 MLB Draft, Lance Lynn, Jordan and Justin Henry, Stephen Head, Cody Overbeck, Nathan Baker and Phillip Irwin.
