Softball Falls To NPF Team

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss softball team fell to the NPF All-Stars 23-1 Saturday night at the Ole Miss Softball Complex in fall softball action.

The NPF team, which is made up of current NPF players, former college All-Americans, former Olympians, is on a "Back To School Tour."

NPF took a 6-0 lead heading into the top of the sixth before posting 16 runs in the top of the seventh to claim the 23-1 win.

For the Rebels, Corrine Doornberg scored Ole Miss' run in the bottom of the seventh. Brittany Broom recorded the RBI for the Rebels.

Kendall Bruning got the start for Ole Miss and pitched four innings, allowing three hits and four runs. Jamee Juarez recorded the win for the NPF All-Stars, pitching four innings, allowing two hits and striking out three.

Ole Miss will finish their fall season on October 19 taking on Holmes Community College and Northwest Community College in Oxford.
