CLERWATER, Fla. - Five Rebel errors led to four unearned runs as Indiana knocked off Ole Miss 7-3 on the final day of the USF-Fairfield Inn & Suites Tournament in Clearwater, Fla. on Sunday.

Freshman RT Cantillo gave Ole Miss an early 3-0 lead in the top of the third with a two-out, bases-loaded triple to right center. Amanda Hutcheson and Corrine Doornberg both singled to give the Rebels runners on the corners with two down and Marina Parra was then hit by a pitch to load the bases for Cantillo, who finished the game 1-for-3 with three RBI.

Indiana tied the game in the bottom of the third with three unearned runs aided by two Ole Miss errors. Shortstop Breanna Saucodo reached on a muffed throw by first baseman Erinn Jayjohn and later scored on a fielder's choice to cut the Rebel lead to 3-1. Then with runners on second and third and two down second baseman Corrine Doornberg booted a ground ball that allowed both runners to score and tie the game at three after three.

The Hoosiers took the lead in the fifth once again aided by an Ole Miss miscue. Designated player Sara Olson led off the frame with a single and advanced to second after shortstop Marina Parra dropped a throw from pitcher Kendall Bruning at second that gave IU runners at first and second. First baseman Meaghan Murphy then hit a triple into right that plated both runners and later scored on an RBI single that put Indiana up 6-3.

Hutcheson paced the Rebels at the plate with a career-high three hits and a run scored. Bruning took the loss for Ole Miss after allowing six hits and two earned runs in 4.1 innings. She struck out four and walked one. Lindsey Perry pitched the final 1.2 innings and gave up one run on two hits and struck out one.

Next up, the Rebels will return to Oxford on Tuesday to face Mississippi Valley State in the home opener at the Ole Miss Softball Complex. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
