Happy Spring Break!
After a flash flood watch and several huge thunderstorms passed through Oxford Tuesday, we headed to Baton Rouge to hopefully find some warm, sunny weather for the start of our spring break. Mother nature hasn't been too kind to us the past week, but that hasn't kept us from preparing for the LSU Classic. Coach doesn't provide us with rain gloves, rain suits and hand warmers for nothing!
Many of us played in this tournament two years ago, and we are looking forward to playing there again. However, the golf course has been completely redesigned, making it more of a challenge. We know from experience that new greens can be a little bit less forgiving, so we may have to re-evaluate our short game shots around the greens.
The line up this week is Natalie Gleadall, Haley Millsap, myself (Ashley Lance), Jillian Brodd and Christina Miller. We are all very excited to get spring break started early and be out of the classroom for a little while. Although this isn't a typical spring break trip for most college students, we are excited to have the opportunity to play some great golf on a great golf course as well as enjoy some Cajun food!
Our practice round is today, and then the first round starts on Friday. We play Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We plan on making lots of birdies and having lots of fun!
