The 54-hole tournament will be held at the Par 72, 6,351-yard Ole Miss Golf course and will highlight some of the top teams in the country.
This year's field is led by No. 10 Tulane and No. 16 Tennessee. The Rebels are ranked No. 42. Mississippi State, Michigan, Maryland, Kansas, Missouri and South Florida are a few of the other teams from BCS conferences in the field. Conference USA is well-represented with Central Florida, Memphis, Southern Mississippi, SMU, Tulane and Tulsa.
"We are excited to being hosting a tournament for the third year in a row. It's always nice to be able to play at home in front of family and friends," head coach Michele Drinkard said.
"We have a solid field this year which includes a top 10 team in Tulane and a top 25 team from our conference in Tennessee. We are looking forward to a great tournament. The weather is going to be excellent, and we are looking forward to closing out the regular season on a good note."
The Rebels are led by junior Natalie Gleadall, who leads the team with a 73.76 stroke average. Joining her this weekend will be junior Ashley Lance, senior Jillian Brodd, junior Haley Millsap and sophomore Haley Sanders. Kathryn Fowler, Christina Miller, Alyssa Randolph and Shelby Sain will be competing as individuals.
Tulane comes in as the two-time defending champion of the Rebel Intercollegiate. Missouri's Julia Potter took home medalist honors last year with a tournament record 208, while Sanders finished runner-up with a 214.
Friday and Saturday's rounds begin at 8:30 a.m. from the No. 1 and 10 tees. Sunday's round will be a shotgun start beginning at 8:00 a.m. The Rebels will begin teeing off at 8:00 a.m. Friday from No. 1.
The tournament is open to the public, and admission is free. For those that cannot attend, live scoring will be available by going to www.OleMissSports.com and clicking on the link in the calendar.
