Rebels Host LSU, Kids Day Set For Saturday

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss softball team returns to
Friday's game will be televised nationally by ESPNU with Cara Capuano handling play-by-play and Cheri Kempf serving as game analyst. The first 100 fans will receive free t-shirts. Fans can also hear all the action on 102.1 FM in
The Rebels will also host "Kids Take Over The Ballpark Day" at Saturday's game to support the Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in
Kids will fill a variety of jobs during the Rebels' game versus LSU. Positions include bat boy or girl, cheerleader, field crew, public address, water manager and many more. Rebel, Ole Miss' new mascot, will also make an appearance along with the Ole Miss cheerleaders.
Volunteers will be honored before the game and will join the Rebels on the field for the national anthem. The Rebels will also hold a skills clinic following the game, so volunteers should bring a glove.
Donations sought for Le Bonheur include blankets, car seats and rattles for infants, blocks, crayons, puzzles and stuffed animals for preschool aged, action figures, books, dolls and games for school aged children and diaries, magazines, and video games for adolescents. All donated items should be new and unopened due to health concerns and will be used for birthday and holiday parties or in bedside and recreation areas.
