OXFORD, Miss. - The excitement for this weekend's Southeastern Conference showdown between Ole Miss (27-21, 11-13 SEC) and Mississippi State (28-18, 11-13 SEC) won't just be focused on the field Thursday night, but will be throughout the stadium as fans will have several activities to participate in prior to the game.
Right field looks to be alive with energy as the first 2,000 students through the gates will receive a Rally Towel as a part of the "Rally Towels In Right" promotion. All students will be admitted to any of the weekend games free of charge with the presentation of their student ID.
In left field, the ESPNU Spring Tour will set up starting at 5 p.m. to provide fans with opportunities for fun leading up to first pitch.
A mini tour bus will be set up with a DJ Booth as part of a Fanfare environment that will feature games of skill for fans to test their baseball prowess. Included in that area will be a pitching cage that will allow fans to wind up and hurl their best pitch to the plate.
Also in attendance will be former Rebel football player and current member of the Minnesota Vikings Jamarca Sanford. Sanford will be signing autographs from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Thursday's game begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be televised on ESPNU as a part of the Southeastern Conference's television package. Friday and Saturday's games will begin at 7 p.m. and will be televised by SportSouth.
