Tad Pad Court Gets Makeover

OXFORD, Miss. - Basketball games at the Tad Smith Coliseum will have a slightly different look this season.
The "Tad Pad" court received a makeover during the summer with a new paint job, featuring a large Ole Miss script logo at center court.
Trimmed in navy blue around all four sides and the free throw lanes, the court reads "REBELS" at each baseline. The simpler design gives the floor a sleek, modern look.
New NCAA rules also affected the design. For the past several years, the men and women have had different 3-point lines, but they will both use the same line starting this season. There is also a new restricted area arc that extends three feet around each basket.
