Ole Miss Travels To Itta Bena To Face MVSU

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss softball team will travel to Itta Bena, Miss. on Wednesday for a non-conference matchup versus in-state foe Mississippi Valley State. First pitch is set for 5 p.m.

Ole Miss (5-4) enters the mid-week tilt after splitting a pair of games at the Islanders Classic over the weekend. Sophomore RT Cantillo leads the Rebels with a .471 batting average, while Kendall Bruning and Londen Ladner both paced the squad with 12 RBI. Bruning also leads Ole Miss in the circle with a 4-2 mark, a 3.25 ERA and 19 strikeouts in 28.0 innings.
Mississippi Valley State (4-9) is led at the plate by Ashley Hobbs (.333 batting average) and Nicole Burr (nine RBI). Preseason SWAC Pitcher of the Year Kim Spivey has a 2-4 mark with an 8.22 ERA in 30.2 innings in the circle. Ole Miss is 6-1 all-time versus the Delta Devilettes including a 6-1 victory last season.
