THIS WEEK FOR OLE MISS:
Ole Miss will play five games next week, starting with a double-header against Central Arkansas in Oxford on Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is set for 3 p.m. at Swayze FIeld. The Rebels will then hit the road again to face the Georgia Bulldogs in a three-game series that will be played Thursday through Saturday. Thursday night's game is the ESPNU Game of the Week and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

NEXT WEEK FOR THE REBELS:
Ole Miss will play a single midweek game on the road with the annual Governor's Cup game against in-state and conference rival Mississippi State. The game will be at 6:30 p.m. at Trustmark Park on Tuesday and will be televised by CSS. Ole MIss will then return home to host No. 9 Arkansas in a three-game series as a part of the annual Grove Bowl weekend. Sunday's game will be televised by Cox Sports.

NOTING SMITH: Freshman right-hander Sam Smith is set to make his sixth start of the season and ninth appearance of the year when he takes the mound against Central Arkansas on Tuesday. Smith holds a 1-2 record with a 4.32 ERA through 25.0 innings of work. The freshman has struck out 21 and walked only four in his time on the mound and combined for one shutout on the season. Opponents are hitting at a .317 clip against Smith, who was supposed to make the start against Southern Miss a week ago in Pearl, but the game was postponed due to weather in the Central Mississippi area.

A LOOK AT CENTRAL ARKANSAS:
The Bears of Central Arkansas enter the Tuesday doubleheader with an overall record of 13-15 and are coming off a series win over Southeastern Louisiana. Central Arkansas dropped the first game before coming back to win the second and third games of the series. The Bears are hitting .279 as a team with 11 home runs and 152 RBI. Forrest Allday leads the Bears with a .367 average, while Ethan Harris has tallied a team-best three home runs and 24 RBI. The Central Arkansas pitching staff holds a 4.32 ERA and have posted 191 strikeouts while allowing 101 walks. Teams are hitting at a .262 clip against the Bears. Bryce Biggerstaff, the game one starter, holds a 1.88 ERA with a 1-2 record and has posted 15 strikeouts to six walks in his 24 innings of work. He has made two starts for Central Arkansas this season.

OLE MISS VS. CENTRAL ARKANSAS:
Ole Miss and Central Arkansas have faced each other three times with the Rebels holding a 2-1 lead in the all-time series. The two teams first met in the 2008 season with Ole Miss falling 4-3 in 10 innings.

LAST TIME OUT VS. CENTRAL ARKANSAS:
Ole Miss and Central Arkansas met in the 2009 season with the Rebels grabbing a pair of wins over the Bears in a two-game midweek set. Ole Miss won the first game 10-2 before claiming the second game 11-3.

BIANCO VS. CENTRAL ARKANSAS:
Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco holds a 2-1 record against the Bears of Central Arkansas with all three of his meetings with the Bears coming in the last five seasons at Ole Miss.

OLE MISS VS. NON-CONFERENCE FOES UNDER BIANCO:
Ole Miss has posted an impressive non-conference record over the course of the past nine seasons under head coach Mike Bianco. Since Bianco's arrival in Oxford in 2001, the Rebels have posted a 242-87-1 (.734 win percentage) mark in non-conference foes. Just a year ago, the Rebels were 17-8 in non-conference games, posting a .654 win percentage. This season, Ole Miss is 15-4 in non-conference games.

HIT STREAKS ON THE LINE:
Three Rebels hold hit streaks of more than two games heading into the Tuesday doubleheader against the Central Arkansas Bears. Alex Yarbrough leads the team with an active streak of 10 games with a hit, while Matt Snyder is right behind him with a hit in the last eight games. Andrew Mistone has hit safely in three consecutive games.

THEY KEEP REACHING BASE:
Alex Yarbrough also currently leads the team in consecutive games reaching base this season. Yarbrough has reached safely in 10 straight games to lead the team. Preston Overbey holds a nine game streak of reaching safely following the weekends series, while Matt Snyder (8, Zach Kirksye (4), Tanner Mathis (4), Andrew Mistone (3) and Blake Newalu (3) round out the list who have reached in more than two straight games.
