OXFORD, Miss. -- Ole Miss men's golfer Joe David earned Division I PING All-Southeast Region honors for the second time in his career as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) Wednesday.

David, a native of Madison, Tenn., recently concluded an excellent career at Ole Miss. This year he earned All-SEC honors for the second time, posted three top-five, six top-10 and 10 top-20 finishes in 11 tournaments. David led the Rebels with a 71.35 stroke average, which ranks as the third lowest in a season in Ole Miss history behind All-Americans Jonathan Randolph and Dave Peege.

"Joe had a great season for us. He was a great leader with a strong work ethic and desire to get better every day. He is very deserving of this honor," head coach Ernest Ross said.

In four years, David played in every tournament and picked up five top-five, 11 top-10, and 28 top-20 finishes. He appeared in four NCAA regionals, earning a top-10 finish in two, including an eighth-place showing this year.

David's selection to the PING All-Region Team makes it four years in a row for the Rebels to have someone on the team.
