OXFORD, Miss. - Another addition of "Where Are The Rebels?" finds several incoming and current Ole Miss women's golfers in New Jersey, Michigan and Alabama this week for the U.S. Am Public Links, the Western Amateur and the Alabama State Amateur.
Incoming freshman Abby Newton (Katy, Texas) is competing in the U.S. Am Public Links at the Neshanic Valley Golf Course in Neshanic Station, N.J. Two rounds of stroke-play qualifying will conclude Tuesday with the low 64 players advancing to match play, beginning Wednesday. Live scoring of the U.S. Am Public Links is available at usga.org.
Stani Schiavone, who is transferring from Baylor, and incoming freshman Katerina Luttner, are playing in the Western Amateur at Monroe Golf and Country Club in Monroe, Mich. Two days of 18-hole qualifying will determine the low 64 players who will contend for the Championship title, beginning Wednesday. The remaining players will compete in subsequent Flights according to their qualifying scores.
Beginning Tuesday, redshirt freshman Alison Hovatter will be competing in the Alabama State Amateur at the Hoover Country Club in Hoover, Ala.
