CLEVELAND, Ohio - Former Ole Miss golfers Natalie Gleadall and Haley Millsap each advanced to match play at the U.S. Women's Amateur Championship.

In round two play today, Gleadall carded a one-under 71 and has a two-day total of three-under 141. She ended the day tied for sixth.

"This is my first time playing in the U.S. Amateur," Gleadall said. "I am excited about how the tournament is going and I am looking forward to match play tomorrow."

Millsap used a birdie on her first playoff hole to advance to match play. She shot a two-over 74 today to finish in a tie for 51st.

Fifteen golfers going for 14 spots in the playoff hole while the top 64 in the field advanced to match play.

"I had a poor finish and had a bogie on the last hole today," Millsap said. "When I finished today there were still players on the course so I had to wait all day. I took some time and got off my feet then took my usual warm up.

I still had time to wait and then I finally heard we had 20 minutes to warm up for the playoff hole, so I started to loosen up. I was the first person off in our five-some which was exciting. My second shot was eight feet from the hole and my put had been solid all week so I was confident. When I walked off the green coach said I was in."

Gleadall will tee off tomorrow in match 5 at 9:10 a.m. CT against Grace Na while Millsap will tee off at 10:10 a.m. CT in match 11 against Lisa McLoskey. Incoming freshman Abby Newton did not advance.
