OXFORD, Miss. - Ole Miss punter Tyler Campbell has been named to the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-District VI team, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America.

With this honor, Campbell is recognized as one of the top football student-athletes in the nation and advances to the Capital One Academic All-America team ballot, where first-, second- and third-team All-America honorees will be selected later this month.

A native of Little Rock, Ark., Campbell boasts a 4.0 grade point average as a graduate student pursuing his master's degree in business administration. He earned two bachelor's degrees in managerial finance and accounting earlier this year after accumulating a 3.65 GPA in his undergraduate studies. A four-year starter and two-time All-SEC punter on the field, Campbell is a four-time SEC Academic Honor Roll member in the classroom.

The Academic All-District teams are divided into eight geographic districts across the United States and Canada. To be eligible for nomination, student-athletes had to hold a 3.3 GPA or higher and be in their second year at the nominating institution. Student-athletes must also be a starter or important reserve and have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's games at the time of nomination.
