DES MOINES - Kayleigh Skinner broke her own school record in the 10,000 meters and Mary Ashton Nall turned in a personal-best heptathlon score to kick start the Ole Miss Rebels in their participation at the 104th Drake Relays on Thursday.

Skinner broke the 10,000 meter record for the second time this season, this time beating her mark from the Texas Relays by 45 seconds with a time of 34:59.20. She placed third in the race, while teammate Katie Breathitt came in ninth with a time of 35:53.01 that moves her into the No. 2 spot in school history.

Nall was runner-up in the heptathlon and finished first among collegians with a personal-best score of 5,324. That moves her past Brittany Bozeman and Antisha Anderson into third place in the school record books, behind record-holder LaToya McBride (5,654) and current teammate Fabia McDonald (5,563).

Nall recorded personal bests of 17-6.75 in the long jump, 135-5 in the javelin and 2:16.51 in the 800 meters, all on Thursday, to reach her new scoring mark.

McDonald placed fourth in Des Moines with a season-best score of 5,300. Both Nall and McDonald entered the meet top 30 nationally and will likely move up with the season-best results.

A full day of events is on tap for Friday, including a sensational lineup in the women's long jump that evening, highlighted by Olympic gold medalist and former Rebel Brittney Reese.
