Rebels Travel To Face Auburn, Alabama

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss soccer team takes to the road this weekend to face a pair of Alabama foes as the Rebels take on the Auburn Tigers and the Alabama Crimson Tide to kick off a stretch of three weeks away from home.

Ole Miss (6-3-3, 1-1-2 SEC) will kick things off against the Auburn Tigers at 7 p.m. on Friday night before facing the Alabama Crimson Tide at 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon. Both matches will be broadcast by the SEC Network + digital platform and live stats can be found online at www.OleMissSports.com for fans that can't make the trip.

• Ole Miss enters the weekend coming off a weekend that saw the Rebels fight to a two-overtime draw against the Arkansas Razorbacks and fall on a pair of late goals to No. 10 Texas A&M for the only home defeat of the season.

• The Rebels have gotten goals from eight different players this season and are led by junior Olivia Harrison (6) and sophomore Addie Forbus (5). Ole Miss has seen 10 different players notch assists on those goals as the Rebels spread the ball around in the offense.

• The meeting with Auburn (6-4-1, 0-2-1 SEC) will be the 23rd between the two teams and the Rebels are 10-11-1 all-time with the Tigers. Ole Miss won the last meeting 7-0 in Oxford, but is looking for the first win on the Plains since the 2010 season.

• Auburn has three players leading the team in goals with three each, while 10 different Tigers have found the net this season. Kristen Dodson is the top ball distributor with seven assists this season for Auburn.

• Ole Miss has Auburn connections as both head coach Matthew Mott and assistant coach Becky Fletcher served as assistants for the Tigers together under Auburn head coach Karen Hoppa.

• The match with Alabama will be the 21st between the two schools with the Rebels holding a 13-7 lead in the all-time series with the Crimson Tide. Ole Miss won the last meeting 2-1 in overtime in Oxford and picked up a 1-0 win over Alabama in the last meeting in Tuscaloosa.

• Alabama (7-3-1, 2-1-0 SEC) is coming into the match after picking up a pair of wins over Vanderbilt and Tennessee this past weekend. The Crimson Tide has 11 players who have netted goals this year, led by Laura Lee Smith with five on the season. Merel van Dongen leads the team with seven assists on the 28 goals scored this season.
