Nov. 21, 2014 OXFORD, Miss. - Over the past year, the Olivia and Archie Manning Athletics Performance Center has undergone massive renovations and additions, including a new dining facility, a renovated locker, a new team meeting room and offices, and other additions. All of that work was recognized by the Mississippi Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors with the Golden Eagle Award.

This year, the collaborative efforts of White Construction, AECOM and the University of Mississippi won the Golden Eagle Award. The Manning Center project won in the "Renovation - $2-10 Million" category.

"We're proud to win this award, as well as team up with a local general contractor and a prominent Kansas City firm sports architect," said Joe Swingle, Ole Miss associate athletics director for facilities and game operations.

Each year, the Mississippi chapter of ABC gives its members an opportunity to showcase projects completed during the previous year through the ABC Merit Awards competition. This year submissions were judged by professors from the University of Southern Mississippi, School of Construction.
