Ole Miss women's golf sports information director, Jessica Poolewill be blogging for the women's golf team throughout the 2014 SECChampionships held at Greystone Golf Course in Birmingham, Ala.
Well we're back in Oxford and the SECChampionships are over. Kinda hard to believe that the regular season is overif you think about it, it seems like just yesterday we were hopping in theSprinter to kick off the fall season. My first season as the Ole Miss Women'sGolf contact has been filled with laughter, fun and LOTS of pictures. (Can'tbelieve we didn't get an Instagram until the spring ... SID-fail but Coach J hadmy back:)
Some lessons that I learnedfrom the women's golf team this year ...
1. There is no such thing as too much laughteror pictures
2. Abby Newton and animal crackers gotogether like peas and carrots
3. Always carry your rain gear (especially ifI'm on a road trip, my presence increases the likelihood of rain by at least 50percent)
4. Running a golf tournament = LONG HOURS
5. Ole Miss women's golf is family meaningthat discussions of things like bodily functions are all likely to happen andeven more likely to happen during a meal
6. Golf needs walk up music ... just thinkabout it, when you're approaching the tee and you hear "Thunderstruck" ... thatwould pump me up!
Speaking of walk up songs, we did talk aboutthis over the week and we had a few good ones, although none better than CoachDrinkard's (You'll have to ask her about that!, if you can't figure it out)

Well, Ole Miss women's golf, came and saw andconquered and we all had a darn good time in the process!
