EUGENE, Ore. - Ole Miss freshman Jalen Miller kept his impressive rookie season going Saturday evening with a bronze medal showing in the 100 meters at the USA Junior Championships from historic Hayward Field.

Miller ran a 10.29 to place third in the competition and likely secure a spot on Team USA's 4x100-meter relay squad for the IAAF World Junior Championships (July 22-27 in Eugene). He clocked a personal-best 10.19 in the prelims earlier on Saturday, which improves his standing as the fifth-fastest man in Ole Miss track & field history.

The Tunica, Mississippi, native is the first Rebel to claim a medal at the USA Junior Championships since Mike Granger took gold in the 100 meters in 2010. Granger went on to win a gold medal in the 4x100-meter relay and place fourth in the 100 meters at the 2010 World Junior Championships.
