BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Ole Miss freshman Mark Robertson has competed in two cross country events as a Rebel. Both have resulted in honors from the league office.

Robertson was named SEC Men's Freshman Runner of the Week for the second time on Tuesday for his performance at the Commodore Classic.

The Pensacola, Florida, native led the Rebels in the 8,000-meter race with a time of 25:00.31, finishing 10th overall and beating out 232 other runners. His efforts guided Ole Miss to a third-place finish, beating out Mississippi State and Vanderbilt as well as four other regionally ranked teams.

Robertson has finished with the best time for Ole Miss in both of the meets this season.

The Rebels have a two-week break before returning to action in the Greater Louisville Classic on Oct. 4.
