OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss men's golf team will travel to Nashville, Tennessee Sept. 19-21 to compete at the second annual DICK'S Sport Goods Collegiate Challenge Cup, hosted by the Nashville Sports Council and The Golf Club of Tennessee.

This year's tournament will host 12 teams from the Atlantic Coast Conference and the Southeastern Conference and will feature five of the top 10 and seven of the top-20 preseason men's golf programs in the country, as ranked by Golfweek. The event will include a 54-hole team and individual stroke play event, followed by an 18-hole match play conference finale, pitting the teams in each conference against each other to play for top conference honors.

Along with the Rebels, No. 9 Georgia, Missouri, No. 7 South Carolina, No. 8 Texas A&M and No. 6 Vanderbilt will represent the SEC. Representing the ACC will be No. 17 Clemson, Duke, No. 3 Georgia Tech, Louisville, N.C. State and No. 11 Virginia.

"We are extremely excited to be a part of this prestigious field of teams," head coach Chris Malloy said. "You come to Ole Miss to play against teams of this caliber. The guys have had a great week of practice and should be ready to play."

The Ole Miss lineup will consist of junior Connor Davis, senior Joe Lewis, sophomore Ben Wolcott, senior Blake Morris and sophomore Noah West.

Davis, a native of Olive Branch, Mississippi, is coming off of a career-best, fifth-place finish at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate, where Lewis and Wolcott also posted career-low tournament scores.

Play will begin at 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 19, with the second round following at approximately 1 p.m. Stroke play will continue on Saturday at 9 a.m. with teams starting in order of Friday's 36-hole scoring.

The Conference Challenge will take place on Sunday, with teams from the ACC playing 18-hole matches against their similarly ranked opponent from the SEC. The conference that accumulates the most points on Sunday will be crowned the 2014 Collegiate Challenge Cup Champion.
