OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss softball team will hit the road Saturday to play a doubleheader against Delaware and Memphis at Petal High School after inclement weather forced the cancelation of the Red and Blue Classic this weekend.

Inclement weather in the area affected all three teams, leading to the squads to agree to head south to play games at Petal High School on Saturday afternoon. The Rebels will face Delaware at 1:30 p.m. and follow that with a single game against Memphis at 4 p.m.

Ole Miss (6-4) enters the weekend games after posting a 3-1 weekend at the Battle at the Beach and finishing atop the tournament standings last weekend with wins over Iowa State, St. Bonaventure and host Coastal Carolina.

Memphis (3-5) comes into the weekend after playing at the FIU Invitational last weekend where the Tigers fell to Purdue, split games with host Florida International and posted a win over Long Island. Memphis was originally slated to host the Blues City Classic, but canceled the event because of issues with weather in the area.

Delaware (4-1) comes into the weekend after opening the season at the Charleston Southern Classic last weekend. There, the Blue Hens posted a pair of wins over Howard, a win over Toledo and split a pair of games with host Charleston Southern.
