OXFORD, Miss. - Coming off a third-place finish in the first tournament of the spring season, the Ole Miss men's golf team will travel to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, to compete in the Querencia Cabo Collegiate at the Los Cabos Querencia Golf Course.
The highly competitive field includes No. 2 Florida State, No. 7 LSU, No. 9 Baylor, No. 11 Vanderbilt, No. 12 South Florida, No. 13 Wake Forest, No. 14 Stanford, No. 19 Washington, Ole Miss, Houston, Arkansas, Kentucky, Lamar and Rice.
"We are looking forward to getting down to Cabo and playing in one of the best college tournaments in all of college golf," Ole Miss head coach Chris Malloy said. "We will need to play extremely disciplined golf on a very tough golf course. I know that we are all excited to get down there and compete for three days. This group has done a very good job so far this spring."
The Rebel lineup will consist of senior Blake Morris, sophomores Noah West and Ben Wolcott, junior Forrest Gamble and freshman Josh Seiple.
Morris powered the Rebels last week at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate with a fourth-place finish, marking his second top-10 finish in a row. Wolcott, who led Ole Miss in the third round in Mobile, Alabama, tied for ninth place. The sophomore has finished in the top 30 overall in all tournaments this season.
Ole Miss won the Querencia Intercollegiate in 2012. The tournament was shortened to one round due to inclement weather.
