Lindsey Named To SEC Community Service Team

OXFORD, Miss. -- Senior pitcher Lauren Lindsey was one of 13 players named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service team when the league announced representatives from each school selected for recognition after outstanding service in the community.
Lindsey represents Ole Miss after an active career volunteering in the Ole Miss and Oxford communities as well as other communities in the area.
The left-handed pitcher has assisted with the Tornado Relief Aid for Columbia, Mississippi as one of her many outreach efforts. She has also given freely of her time, serving as a volunteer at LeBonheur Children's Hospital and as a volunteer at the National Civil Rights Museum.
Lindsey has also actively supported literacy in Mississippi, participating in the Reading with the Rebels program to read with local elementary school children. She has also endorsed active living and physical fitness by providing hitting and pitching lessons with clinics throughout the Oxford and Ole Miss communities.
Lindsey graduated this past weekend with a degree in Chemistry and a minors in Psychology and Mathematics.
