OXFORD, Miss. -- This weekend marks opening weekend for the 2015 WNBA season and several former Rebels will be in action. Armintie Price Herrington will begin her ninth WNBA season on Friday as a member of the Washington Mystics, while Ole Miss great Jennifer Gilliom begins her third season as an assistant coach with the Connecticut Sun.
Herrington and her Washington Mystics open the season tonight (June 5) when they travel to Uncasville, Connecticut to take on Gillom's Connecticut Sun squad. Herrington joins Kara Lawson from Tennessee as SEC players on the Mystics squad. Herrington is one of 18 former SEC players on WNBA opening day rosters.
