OXFORD, Miss. - In addition to finishing inside the top 25, the Rebels earned the ITA All-Academic Team Award for the 19th straight year, as announced Thursday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

The Rebels are one of 10 teams in Division I and four from the SEC to finish ranked inside the top 25 and receive the ITA All-Academic Team Award.

This award honors teams with outstanding academic achievements, requiring a minimum overall 3.2 grade point average to be considered. The Rebels posted a 3.50 GPA for the 2014-15 year.

In addition, six Rebels were named ITA Scholar-Athletes Thursday.

"We are very proud of the team for their academic accomplishments," head coach Mark Beyers said. "This is a testament to the hard work the players put into their school work. A special thanks to Derek Cowherd, Justin Light and the rest of the FedEx staff for everything they do to give the student athletes everything they need in order to be successful."

Julia Jones earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the fourth time in as many years and is one of 14 Division I players to earn All-America honors and receive this distinction. Jones became the seventh member of the 100-win club and earned All-SEC First Team honors in addition to graduating with honors.

Mai El Kamash, Marija Miliutinovic and recent graduate Erin Stephens all earned the award for the third time. First time honorees include freshmen Arianne Hartono and Natalie Suk.

All six players helped lead the Rebels to their seventh consecutive NCAA appearance as well as a final ranking of No. 24 in the nation.
