OXFORD, Miss.
- The Ole Miss men's tennis team won the doubles point and never let up as it picked up a decisive 7-0 win over Southern Miss on Saturday afternoon at the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center. The win moved the Rebels to 4-1 on the season.

The Rebels earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. The Ole Miss tandem of Fabian Fallert and Grey Hamilton opened the action with a 6-3 win over Southern Miss' Chao-Yu Huang and Wen-Po Tseng, while Stefan Lindmark and Ricardo Jorge clinched the point with a 6-2 at No. 3.

Despite some early close first sets in the matches, the Rebels cruised in singles action. Lindmark set the tone early at No. 1 with a 6-4, 6-3 straight sets win over Tarun Surat. The first set on courts No. 2 and No. 3 both went 7-5 in favor of Rebels Filip Kraljevic and Gustav Hansson, while Grey Hamilton and Fallert rallied in tiebreakers in the first set at No. 4 and No. 5. Ole Miss cruised after the first sets closing out the Golden Eagles on all courts. Karljevic clinched the match at No. 3 singles with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Chao-Yu Huang.

Straight Sets or Bust
Each of Ole Miss' singles wins were in straight sets against the Golden Eagles.

Tiebreakers, No Problem
Ole Miss had two first sets go to tiebreakers. Grey Hamilton rallied for a 7-6 (7-4) win in his first set while Fabian Fallert picked up a 7-6 (7-2) win in his first set.

Quoting Head Coach Toby Hansson…
On the win…
"We really did a good job in doubles. It was the first match outside, so I think we handled the conditions very well today. We got the momentum going by winning the first sets in the singles matches, and they were all very competitive. I think we got challenged and we grew from it, and gained a little confidence when we got those first sets. I think we got a little more comfortable with being outside in the second sets, which showed in the results."

On overcoming close singles matches early...
"I think we have a group of guys that are confident. To win those tiebreakers you have to be tough and find a way to get it done. I think it helped that everyone was engaged on all the courts. We helped each other very well out there. Once we got those first sets we did a great job of closing the door in the second sets."

On tomorrow's match against Memphis...
"They're a very good Memphis team and we are aware of that. We are going to go out there like any other match and compete like we did today, and I know we will do well.
