LEADING OFF

  • Ole Miss plays its 30th non-conference game Wednesday when it hosts UT Martin for the 12th time in history.
  • UT Martin has never beaten the Rebels in Oxford, as Ole Miss holds a 6-0 advantage in the series at home.
  • The Rebels are in search of their school record 16th win at home entering Wednesday, which would top the previous home wins record set by the 2010 team.
  • Two more wins overall would tie the school record for wins in a season set back in 2015 and 2005.
  • Despite a three-game sweep last weekend, the Rebels held at No. 33 in Monday's NCAA RPI release thanks to Florida's No. 1 spot in the RPI.
  • Ole Miss tallied record crowds as more than 3,000 fans witnessed the Florida series, setting a new attendance record in the Saturday game at 1,342. Sunday's crowd nearly matched that with an announced mark of 1,267.
  • In a season in which Ole Miss set a new school record for consecutive non-conference wins (15), the Rebels are a perfect 14-0 in non-conference games at home this season. In those 14 contests the Rebels have outscored opponents 79-24 with a .325 team batting average and team ERA of 1.49.
  • Hailey Lunderman is hitting .533 in home games vs. non-SEC opponents. The Rebels are averaging 4.3 stolen bases/game, and have fielded the ball extremely well with a .980 fielding percentage in those 14 contests.
  • Despite not stealing a base in the series vs. No. 2 Florida, Ole Miss still ranks third overall in the country in stolen bases at 106 in 125 attempts (2.59/game).
  • Wednesday will feature two of the nation's top stolen base threats as UT Martin is 10th with 96 (2.40/game).
  • The Ole Miss bullpen has fared well in relief outings with a combined ERA of 2.49 and 8-3 record. Elisha Jahnke has performed better in relief with a 1.37 ERA in eight appearances, while Kayla Landwehrmier is 2-2 with a 1.68 ERA. Madi Osias is a perfect 5-0 in relief with a 2.10 ERA.
  • Landwehrmier pitched 13 of the team's final 14 innings in the Florida series, tossing a complete game in the finale, just a day after going six innings of relief vs. the Gators with just one run allowed.
  • Osias, who's 15-3 on the year in the circle, is just two wins from tying the single-season school record set by Amanda Fine in 1997. She's also inched her way to ninth in career strikeouts (255).
