OXFORD, Miss. -
Ole Miss looks to break in the newly renovated Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in style. The Rebels will open the 2016 home slate in the largest stadium in the state with a new playing surface, video boards, and a bowled-in north end zone.

No. 18 Ole Miss wants to bounce back after a disappointing season-opening loss against Wofford in its renovated stadium. The Rebels have a quick turnaround preparing for the triple option attack of the Terriers after playing just five days ago.

"We spent three or four days in camp with a 30-minute period introducing what our defense is going to face," Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said. "We did think we had do that."

Ole Miss did a good job in week one of hemming up Florida State's play-making running back Dalvin Cook. Now they face a Wofford offense that ran the ball 54 times in week one.

"It is a very difficult schedule, and I don't discount playing Wofford on a short week," Freeze said. "They played on a Thursday night, and they have a long week to get ready for us.

The Rebels look to correct mistakes made in week one, especially regarding turnovers on the offensive side and discipline on the defensive side. This game serves as a tune-up before entering the difficult SEC slate next week against Alabama.

"We just have to correct the mistakes and hopefully stay healthy." Freeze said. "Whether you play well and lose or you play bad and lose, how you handle that and how you bounce back is just part of it."

The first meeting between the two football programs will kickoff at 3 p.m. CT.
