Wolcott Named SEC Men's Golfer of the Week

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - Senior Ben Wolcott has been named the SEC men's golfer of the week after earning medalist honors at the Lamkin Grips San Diego Classic, per the SEC office Wednesday.
"I'm so happy for Ben to get a win under his belt," said Rebel head coach Chris Malloy. "He has worked so hard and has been doing the right things for a long time now. Everything is really starting to come together for him and I am excited to see what's in store."
The Dickson, Tennessee native fired a season best 5-under par 67 in the final round at San Diego Country Club to earn his first individual title and 20th top-20 finish of his career. Wolcott led the Rebels, who entered the final round tied for third, to their fourth tournament victory of the season over seven top-50 opponents. He is second on the team in stroke average at 71.17 and has four top-5 finishes this year.
Wolcott and the Rebels tee off next at Hootie at Bulls Bay in Charleston, South Carolina March 26-28.
