Baseball Set for Second Fall Game vs. Little Rock
10/24/2018 | Baseball
Rebels Host Trojans Saturday at 2 p.m. CT
OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss's second of two exhibition games is set for this Saturday at 2 p.m. CT. The Rebels will welcome Little Rock, a frequent sight on schedules in recent years, to Swayze Field for the final fall game before the Pizza Bowl in November.
The Trojans finished off the 2018 year at an even 28-28 mark, which included a 10-2 loss to the Rebels at Swayze Field in early March. Ole Miss is an all-time 18-4 against Little Rock. The Rebels held off the Trojans, 5-4, in 10 innings in 2017 at Swayze Field. Ole Miss will host Little Rock once again this spring on March 5.
The scrimmage is set for 2 p.m. on Saturday, October 24. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Rebels in the final of two scrimmages played against outside competition this fall. The two teams will play a 12-inning game, divided into two six-inning segments, to allow adequate innings and plate appearances for their pitchers and hitters.
Parking will be available across from the stadium on Taylor Road as well as the parking lot behind left field. Gates, limited to the ones behind home plate, left field, and the student gate in right field, will open at noon. Any coolers brought in must be done through either the left field or student gate. Concessions will be available at the main gate only. No pets are allowed at the exhibition.
The Diamond Club and Dugout Club will not be open for access, but all other outdoor seating will be available for fans.
Season tickets are open for renewal and purchase now at OleMissTix.com. For all Ole Miss Baseball news and information, visit the official athletics site OleMissSports.com.
