Baseball Announces Start Time for Fall Scrimmage vs. Delta State

Rebels and Statesmen Set for 1 p.m. CT First Pitch on Oct. 13
OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss baseball team will welcome Delta State to Swayze Field for the first of two fall scrimmages scheduled against other collegiate teams from across the region.
The scrimmage is set for 1 p.m. CT on Saturday, Oct. 13. Admission is free, and fans are encouraged to come out and cheer on the Rebels in one of just two scrimmages played against outside competition this fall. The two in-state foes will play a 12-inning game to allow adequate innings and plate appearances for their pitchers and hitters.
The Statesmen, who spent much of last year topping national Division II rankings and finished the year with a 42-11 record, will be a welcomed challenge for the Rebels, who have competed solely against their own teammates this fall.
Parking will be available across from the stadium on Taylor Road as well as the parking lot behind left field. Gates, limited to the ones behind home plate, left field, and the student gate in right field, will open at 11 a.m. CT.
Any coolers brought in must be done through either the left field or student gate. Concessions will be available at the main gate only. The Diamond Club and Dugout Club will not be open for access. Media may enter through the front gate and access the press box via the side door down the left field line.
