Doubles Duo Drops Semifinal to End All-American Run

TULSA, Okla. - The impressive run for Ole Miss men's tennis doubles partners Finn Reynolds and Fabian Fallert ended Sunday, as the pair dropped its semifinal contest in the Main Doubles Draw of the Saint Francis Health System's ITA All-American Championships held at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center, located on the campus of the University of Tulsa.

The sophomore/senior duo won six consecutive matches to land into the semifinal slot Sunday, including upsetting two Top 20 rated pairs and three ranked sets overall. After battling through the qualifying doubles draw, Reynolds and Fallert, rated No. 43 in the ITA Preseason Rankings, took down No. 15 Igor and Ivan Saveljic (NC State), and two days later trumped No. 12 Henrik Korsgaard and Alex Ribeiro of Virginia Tech.

The run was ended by another team who found a Main Draw berth via the qualifying rounds, as Baylor's Jimmy Bendeck and Sven Lah defeated the Rebels 7-6, 6-3.

Rebel tennis next takes to the court of the ITA South Regional, held in Tuscaloosa on the campus of league-foe Alabama beginning Oct. 18.
