REBELS’ HISTORIC RUN
Ole Miss is riding the best season in its history into the SEC Championship. The Rebels have claimed 22 school records already in 2017-18, including the most team and individual tournament wins in a single season at three apiece. Ole Miss is on pace to smash its single-season stroke average record at 293.6.

WEEKLY WINNER
Freshman Julia Johnson was named SEC Freshman of the Week on Monday, the final weekly awards of the season. She closes the 2017-18 campaign as the only golfer in the league to earn three weekly honors and the only one to have captured both Freshman and Golfer of the Week. She’s the first Rebel to ever win both as well.

HOT RIGHT NOW
Ole Miss showed strength out of the No. 4 and 5 spots in its lineup last week. Pi-Lillebi Hermansson and Kie Purdom finished in the top 25 among 19 top-50 golfers at UGA. The duo is getting hot at the right time. It’s Hermansson’s best finish since the spring opener, and it came as Purdom’s best since the fall finale.

SET FOR SECs
After a fall filled with wins, the Rebels were battle-tested in the spring. Ole Miss took part in three of the toughest tournaments in college golf this season, all hosted by SEC schools in Florida, Auburn and Georgia. The Rebels also co-hosted the Magnolia Invitational in the fall and earned head-to-head wins over Auburn, Mississippi State and Tennessee.

REBS WIN
The Rebels have won three team tournament titles this year, which is more than the last 13 seasons combined.

INDY TITLES
Kory Henkes’ group has also tallied three individual titles in 2017-18, more than the last six seasons combined.

FRESHMAN SENSATION
Julia Johnson captured individual tournament titles at the Magnolia Invitational and Rebel Beach Invitational to become the first freshman in school history to win two tournaments in a season.

SENIOR STRONG
Katy Harris is putting together a strong senior campaign, now featuring three runner-up finishes and four top-fives. During her T2 finish at the Henssler Intercollegiate, Harris became the new all-time career stroke average leader at 74.4.

MISSISSIPPI MADE
Freshman Conner Beth Ball has been one of the SEC’s top newcomers this season with four top-10 and two top-five finishes. The Madison, Mississippi, native is on pace for one of the lowest stroke averages in school history at 74.3.
