This Marks the 19th-Straight Men’s Poll in which Ole Miss has been Ranked
NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss men's cross country remains nationally ranked for the 19th-straight poll, as the Rebels come in at No. 30 in the latest USTFCCCA National Rankings released by the coaches association on Tuesday.
The Rebels fell one spot from their preseason rank of No. 29, which was the fourth-straight season that Ole Miss had found itself ranked in the men's national preseason poll. At 19 straight national rankings, Ole Miss has been ranked the entirety of the previous two years in 2016 and 2017, plus the first two polls of the 2018 season. The Rebel men have not been unranked since Week 6 of the 2015 season, and they have been represented in 25 of the last 30 polls dating back to 2014. In addition, Ole Miss has at least been receiving votes in the national poll in 28 of the last 30 editions.
Ole Miss is coming off a strong weekend of competition at the SEC Preview at Auburn, where the Rebel men won the 6K team title thanks to five finishers in the top-10: Michael Coccia (second, 17:53.52), Cade Bethmann (third, 17:59.51), Robinson Snider (seventh, 18:19.33), Everett Smulders (ninth, 18:22.51) and Dalton Hengst (10th, 18:25.41).
Up next for Ole Miss is a trip to Boston for the Battle in Beantown, hosted by Boston College on Sept. 21.
