BOSTON – Ole Miss men's and women's cross country faces a key test against several ranked teams in Boston tomorrow afternoon at the Battle in Beantown, hosted by Boston College.
Ole Miss took last week off to prepare for this coming meet, which will feature nine nationally ranked schools across both the men's and women's races.
The Rebel women will kick things off at 2 p.m. CT in the 5K race, which will feature ranked squads in No. 11 Providence, No. 22 Syracuse, No. 24 Minnesota and No. 27 Dartmouth.
Leading the way in her first meet of 2018 is sophomore Clio Ozanne-Jaques, who had a very strong freshman campaign in 2017, earning both NCAA All-South Region and SEC All-Freshman honors en route to being the top Rebel women's finisher at the NCAA Championships.
Two weeks ago at the SEC Preview meet at Auburn, the Ole Miss women took second in the team standings thanks to an individual win from redshirt freshman Ylvi Traxler in her first-career cross country meet – earning her SEC Women's Runner of the Week honors in the process. Also competing for the Rebel women are: Anna Elkin, Courtney Hopkins, Maddie King, Emma McClellan, Maddie McHugh, Nicole Rice, Victoria Simmons and Lisa Vogelgesang.
The 30th-ranked Rebel men, meanwhile, will follow with an 8K race at 2:30 p.m. CT, which includes the likes of No. 10 Syracuse, No. 12 Campbell, No. 17 Virginia and No. 26 Washington.

Sophomore Waleed Suliman will make his first appearance of 2018 as well following a stellar freshman season that saw him also earn All-Region and All-Freshman honors. Other Rebel men in competition this week include: Farah Abdulkarim, Mario Garcia Romo, Brandon Harvey and Mark Robertson.
