• Ole Miss suffered from three consecutive losses last week, but bounced back to sweep McNeese State in the finale of the Rice Adidas Invitational II in Houston.
• Junior Nayo Warnell was dubbed with All-Tournament honors, posting 27 kills on a .469 efficiency, adding nine blocks across 11 sets. In the Rebels match with Rice, Warnell fell two shy of her career-high, registering 12 kills.
• Warnell is fourth in the conference in hitting percentage (.355), the highest ranked junior in the category amongst the league.
• Junior Emily Stroup ranks second in the country with 246 kills and tops the league in the category. Averaging 4.57 kills per set (2nd in SEC), Stroup boasts 62 more total kills than the next highest performer (T'ara Ceasar, Georgia). • Stroup also sits at third in the nation in points, accumulating 215.5 over 14 matches, and boasts a league-high eight double-doubles on the year.
• Teammate Jordan Fate sits right behind her, carrying six double-doubles on the season.
• The Rebels rank in the Top 10 in the country for team kills, totaling 725 and are 14th in the nation in total assists (535), another league-best.
• Ole Miss did not travel to the Sunshine State last season, last making the trip in 2016.
• The Rebels are 6-47 all-time against the Gators, with head coach Steven McRoberts looking for his first win against Florida since taking the helm.
• Ole Miss will follow their trip to Florida with their SEC home opener, welcoming Georgia to the Gillom Athletics Performance Center on Friday, Sept. 28 and follow that up by hosting Auburn on Sunday, Sept. 30.
Scouting the Gators
The fourth-ranked team in the country, the Gators enter Friday on a 9-3 record, falling to then-No. 3 Texas, then- No.7 USC, and upset by Northern Arizona in five sets. Flor- ida is second in the league in opponent hitting percentage (.152) and ranks third in total kills (608). Rookie Thayer Hall has delivered a strong debut, topping the team with 168 total kills and tied for a team-high 11 aces. Juniors Rachael Kramer and Allie Gregory lead the defense, posting 51 blocks and 177 digs, respectively.
Ole Miss and Florida meet for the 54th time in series history Friday, with the Gators holding a 47-6 advantage. The two squads have faced six times since McRoberts took hold of the program.

The Rebels return to GIllom for their league home opener, welcoming Georgia Friday, Sept. 28. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a volleyball mason jar tumbler. It will also be the first of two camper reunions this season, and Tony the Landshark will make his first volleyball appearance.
