QUICK KICKS
• Ole Miss is coming off of a pair of overtime games last week, tying Mississippi State 1-1 on Thursday in Starkville before returning home for a thrilling 1-0 victory over Auburn on Sunday.

• With the tie against MSU the Rebs retained the Magnolia Cup, extending their record streak of trophy retention to six seasons.

• The victory over Auburn also extended Ole Miss' unbeaten streak over the Tigers to six games. Ole Miss is 4-0-2 against Auburn since 2013.

Channing Foster bagged her second golden goal of the season against the Tigers. Foster has scored in six of Ole Miss' 11 games in 2019, totaling a team-high seven goals in all.

Haleigh Stackpole scored Ole Miss' lone goal in Starkville, her third goal of the season. Stackpole ranks fourth on the team with four points this season.

• Ole Miss returned to the receiving votes section of the United Soccer Coaches Poll this week, while being slotted at 43 in the RPI report. Arkansas is ranked 15th in the poll, coming into Thursday's match at 12 in the RPI.

• Ole Miss faced off against Thursday's opponent, Arkansas, twice last season. The Rebels earned a 3-1 win in Oxford during the regular season but were defeated 4-0 by the Razorbacks in the SEC Tournament.

Lonnie Mulligan scored her first-ever collegiate goal against Arkansas in 2018, while Foster also found the back of the net in the Rebel win.

• The 13th ranked Razorbacks have three ranked wins in 2019, defeating No. 1 North Carolina, No. 15 Vanderbilt and No. 22 Baylor.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS
The Razorbacks are in their eight season under head coach Colby Hale, who has led Arkansas to five NCAA Tournament appearances in hist first seven campaigns in Fayetteville, including each of the last three. Prior to taking over the Razorback program in 2012, Hale spent nine seasons as an assistant coach at UCF.

The 15th ranked Razorbacks have enjoyed a great deal of success in 2019, entering Thursday's matchup with a, 8-2-1 overall record, 2-1-0 in SEC play. Among Arkansas's  eight wins are three over ranked teams, defeating No. 1 North Carolina, No. 15 Vanderbilt and No. 22 Baylor. The wins over the Tar Heels and Commodores both came at Razorback Field, where Arkansas holds a 5-1-0 record in 2019. The Hogs did. however, lose their last time out, a 1-0 loss to South Carolina that snapped an eight-match winning streak.

The Razorbacks are led in scoring by freshman forward Anna Podojil, who has found the back of the net six times so far in her rookie campaign, also dishing out four assists. Podojil has reeled in three of the six SEC Freshman of the Week honors awarded this season. She is tied for the team lead in points with junior forward Parker Goins, who has scored five goals and registered six assists. Senior midfielder/forward Stefani Doyle has also scored five times, while junior midfielder Taylor Malham has tallied four goals. In goal, senior Katie Lund has allowed just three goals in over 979 minutes on the pitch, good for a 0.28 GAA and a .925 save percentage.

SERIES HISTORY - ARKANSAS
Ole Miss holds a commanding 17-7-2 all-time record against Arkansas, though much of the gap was created early on in the series. After Arkansas won the first two matchups, Ole Miss rattled off 11 straight victories from 1997 to 2007. As of late, the series has been much more hotly contested, with the two sides alternating wins over the past six meetings. During the Matt Mott era Ole Miss is 5-4-2 against the Razorbacks. Ole Miss is 10-2-0 all-time in Fayetteville.

LAST MEETING - ARKANSAS (10/30/18)
ORANGE BEACH, Ala. -
A slow start doomed Ole Miss in its quarterfinal match of the SEC Tournament on Tuesday night in Orange Beach as the fifth-seeded Rebels fell 4-0 to Arkansas at the Orange Beach Sportsplex.

The match got off to about as bad of a start as imaginable for Ole Miss, with the Razorbacks getting on the board first in the second-minute on a header by Tori Cannata following a corner service. Arkansas added two more in quick succession in the fourth and seventh-minutes, one an own goal and the second off the foot of Taylor Malham.

Ole Miss took just three shots in the first half but all three created great scoring chances. However, CeCe Kizer, Channing Foster and Ella Frischknecht was unable to put their attempts on frame.

Following the halftime break, Ole Miss looked to come out and seize momentum. Instead, the Razorbacks put another on the board in the 58th-minute on a Reece Christopherson shot that took a wicked deflection and found the netting.

Despite the score-line, the Rebels continued to fight throughout the night but were unable to get anything going, falling by their widest margin of the 2018 season.

ROSTER CONNECTIONS
- The Rebels and Razorbacks share just one roster connection. Arkansas freshman midfielder Cara Young played Houston High School in Germantown, Tennessee, the same high school as the Rebels' Gabby Little and Jenna Kemp.

CARDIAC REBS
This season, the Rebels have been no stranger to a little bonus soccer, having five matches in 2019 extended into extra time. Ole Miss has been extremely successful in overtime contests, posting a 3-0-2 record with a trio of golden goals. Over the previous two seasons, the Rebels played in six overtime games combined without scoring a single golden goal.

CAN'T BEAT IT
Ole Miss is looking to do something on Thursday it hasn't accomplished since the 2007 season, start SEC play unbeaten through its first four games. The Rebels opened the conference portion of its season with a pair of draws with Missouri and Mississippi State before toppling Auburn in Oxford last week to move to three-straight league games without a tick in the loss column. The Rebels' all-time SEC unbeaten streak to begin league play is six games, set in 2006.

IRON WOMAN
Since beginning her collegiate career a season ago, Haleigh Stackpole has been an absolute fixture in the Rebel lineup. The Fort Bragg, North Carolina native has started all 33 matches over the past two seasons while almost never coming off the pitch despite consistently totaling the highest distance travelled as a box-to-box midfielder. Stackpole ranked second on the team during her freshman campaign with 1850 total minutes, just over 84 per match. This season, Stackpole is joined only by Rebel keeper Ashley Orkus in playing every second of the Rebels' 1,073 minutes of game time.

PHILLIPS JOINS THE ATTACK
Senior captain Julia Phillips has seen an uptick in her involvement on the offensive side of the pitch in 2019, ranking second on the team with four goals this season. Phillips has found the back of the net four times this season after scoring only three times in her first 45 collegiate contests combined. The Rebel midfielder has been extremely efficient with her offense, needing just 15 shots to record her four goals, putting six attempts on frame.

PAIR OF REBS HEATING UP
Nearing consideration for the term "super sub", junior attacker Madisyn Pezzino has been in excellent form for Ole Miss as of late. The former Florida State Seminole has scored three times in the past eight matches and has registered at least a point in three of the last five. With the recent run, Pezzino has moved into third place on the roster with nine points, registering three goals and a pair of assists.

Meanwhile, a resent run of scoring form has also vaulted Haleigh Stackpole into a tie with Pezzino with three goals for third most on the team. After scoring Ole Miss' lone goal against Mississippi State, Stackpole has now scored in three of the last six matches.

FOSTER ENTERS TOP 10
Midway through her junior season, striker Channing Foster is already one of the most prolific scorers in Ole Miss history. The Murray, Kentucky native scored for the third straight game in the 3-0 victory over Long Beach State, the 26th goal of her career, tying her for 10th most on Ole Miss' all-time career scoring list. Now up to 27, Foster will have a shot to topple CeCe Kizer's record of 48 career goals, set just last season.

CORNERS GALORE
If there is one area of the game Ole Miss has particularly excelled at in 2019, it would have to be creating opportunities from the corner flags. The Rebels rank third in the nation with 8.27 corners per game, four times registering double digit corners. The chances have paid off, with the Rebs scoring three times directly from a corner kick service. Ole Miss has also excelled on the defensive side of the field during corner delivering. Rebel opponents have taken 53 total corners this season, with none of those chances resulting in goals.

FOSTER GOLDEN IN OT VICTORY OVER AUBURN
Ole Miss was able to pull out a tough, physical matchup with the Auburn Tigers to pick up its first SEC win of the season as well as hand Auburn its first loss in conference play. The contest didn't feature an over abundance of offense, with the two sides combining for just five shots on goal. Channing Foster lifted the Rebels in the first overtime period, scoring off of assists from Lonnie Mulligan and Jenna Kemp.
