QUICK KICKS
• The Rebels is coming off of a 2-0 defeat on the road in Columbia, South Carolina to the eighth ranked Gamecocks of South Carolina.

• Despite enjoying quality possession for large chunks of the game, the stout Gamecock defense held the Rebels to a season-low four total shots.

• Reigning SEC Defensive Player of the Week Ashley Orkus made three saves in the match.

• At 2-3-3 in league play, Ole Miss is currently tied for ninth in the SEC table with nine points, one point ahead of Mississippi State.

• With just two league games remaining, a Rebel win and a loss by either Mississippi State or Auburn on Sunday would guarantee the Rebels of a spot in the SEC Tournament.

• It would be the fifth-straight trip to Orange Beach for Ole Miss and the seventh in head coach Matt Mott's 10 seasons in Oxford.

• Ole Miss has allowed one goal or fewer in eight of 16 matches this season.

• LSU is 14th in the SEC standings with two points and have been eliminated from contention for a place in the SEC Tournament.

• Ole Miss is currently ranked No. 46 in the NCAA RPI report, while LSU sits at No. 142.

• Despite LSU claiming last season's meeting, Ole Miss has won four of the last six matchups with the Tigers.

SCOUTING LSU
A long-time assistant coach at LSU, Debbie Hensley has served as the interim head coach for the Tigers in 2019. Prior to serving as an assistant on the Tiger staff for 13 seasons, including nine as the associate head coach, Hensley was the head coach at Western Carolina from 1999-2004, earning a 59-50-11 record with the Catamounts.

A year removed from claiming the 2018 SEC Tournament Champions, LSU has struggled through the 2019 seasons, entering Sunday with a 2-11-3 record, including 0-6-2 in SEC play. After starting off the season at 2-1, LSU hasn't won a match since Aug. 30 against McNeese State, falling in 10 of its last 12 matches. The Tigers do come to town with a little bit of momentum, though, after earning a point in Baton Rouge on Thursday with a 2-2 draw against Mississippi State.

Having scored just eight times on the season, LSU is led in scoring by senior midfielder Marlena Cutura and sophomore forward Meghan Johnson with two goals apiece, with four other players tied for second with a single goal. Cutura has also assisted on four of the Tigers' eight goals, easily pacing the team with four points. In goal, junior keeper Emma Grace Goldman has been tested often, leading the SEC with 95 saves, while allowing a league high 31 goals. Goldman owns a 2.05 GAA and a .754 save percentage in her 15 starts.

SERIES HISTORY - LSU
The Tigers hold a slight advantage in the all-time series with Ole Miss, sitting with a series record of 11-10-4. While the Rebels fell in Baton Rouge in last season's matchup Ole Miss has gotten the better end of LSU of late, winning four of the last six meetings. Even in Oxford the series has been extremely close, with the Rebs recording a 5-4-2 record against LSU at the Ole Miss Soccer Stadium.

LAST MEETING - LSU (10/11/18)
BATON ROUGE, La.
- Ole Miss held a 1-0 lead entering halftime at LSU but was unable to hold onto the advantage, falling 3-1 to the Tigers at the LSU Soccer Stadium.

Channing Foster put the Rebels up at the break with a 12th-minute goal, taking down a CeCe Kizer cross in the box, shaking her defender and firing in a shot to the bottom corner with her left foot.

The Rebel lead didn't last long after halftime, with LSU knotting the score in the 47th-minute on a penalty kick. Making her first-career start, Morgan McAslan got a foot on the shot up the middle but it wasn't enough to keep Alex Thomas' attempt out of the back of the net.

Lindsey Eaton pushed the Tigers ahead in the 75th-minute, collecting her own rebound off the right post and touching it past Ella Frischknecht's attempt to save it off the line. The Tigers doubled the lead less than two minutes later, scoring on an Abbey Newton header off of a corner kick.

With about eight minutes remaining, it appeared as though Foster had bagged a second goal to give the Rebels a chance at the match late. However, after a short conference between the referee and the linesman, Foster was ruled offside.

Just a few moments later, LSU was called for a hand ball in the box, allowing Kizer an attempt from the penalty spot. Kizer put a good strike on the ball but Caroline Brockmeier guessed correctly and stopped the attempt with a nice diving save to her left and LSU closed out the win.

EYE FOR THE TIGERS
Rebel striker Channing Foster has enjoyed a good deal of success in her career when facing off against the LSU Tigers. The junior has scored in both of Ole Miss' last two meetings with the Bayou Bengals and had a second goal in last season's game called back on an incorrectly whistled offside call. In total, Foster has registered seven shots against LSU in her career, putting four on frame.

ORKUS NAMED DPOTW
Sophomore goalkeeper Ashley Orkus was named the SEC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 9 of the season after registering a career-high 10 saves in Ole Miss' 1-1 draw with Alabama. Orkus became the first Rebel with double digit saves in a match since Marnie Merritt also made 10 stops at Texas A&M in 2017. A Rebel keeper has not made more than 10 saves since the 2010 season, when Sarah Story posted 11 saves at Arkansas.

LETTING IT FLY
It's safe to say that there isn't really a player on the Rebel roster that hasn't seen a chance to shoot that they didn't like. Ole Miss ranks fourth in the SEC and 25th nationally with 16.81 shot attempts per game. While the Rebs would probably like to see their shots on goal average increase, testing the keeper 6.69 times per match is also nothing to sneeze at, ranking sixth in the conference and 80th nationally.

Individually, Channing Foster leads the SEC with 4.44 shot attempts per match, ranking 13th in the nation overall. Foster also ranks second in the conference in shot attempts in league play, attempting 3.75 per match. Meanwhile, Haleigh Stackpole's 47 shots in 16 matches brings her average to 2.94 per game in 2019, ranking seventh in the SEC.

PAYING THE PENALTY
An Achilles' heel for Ole Miss in 2019 has been committing fouls in the box and allowing teams a chance to score from the penalty spot. Of the 21 goals allowed this season, six have been scored on penalties, with Rebel opponents being awarded seven penalty shot opportunities overall. The seven penalties committed are already the most ever surrendered in a single season at Ole Miss and is just the seventh season in 25 years committing more than two penalties.

MANNING THE PIPES
Sophomore Ashley Orkus has been tested often throughout her first playing season at Ole Miss and for the most part, the Tennessee transfer has come through with flying colors. Orkus ranks second in the SEC with 72 saves on the season, averaging 4.50 per game. The Rebel keeper has faced 95 total shots in 2019, posting a save percentage of .758. Orkus has made at least five saves in nine of the last 13 matches and 10-of-16 overall.

CARDIAC REBS
This season, the Rebels have been no stranger to a little bonus soccer, having six matches in 2019 extended into extra time. Ole Miss remains undefeated in overtime games in 2019, posting a 3-0-3 record with a trio of golden goals. Over the previous two seasons, the Rebels played in six overtime games combined without scoring a single golden goal.

IRON WOMAN
Since beginning her collegiate career a season ago, Haleigh Stackpole has been an absolute fixture in the Rebel lineup. The Fort Bragg, North Carolina native has started all 36 matches over the past two seasons while almost never coming off the pitch despite consistently totaling the highest distance travelled as a box-to-box midfielder. Stackpole ranked second on the team during her freshman campaign with 1850 total minutes, just over 84 per match. This season, Stackpole leads all field players with 1,543 minutes of play, leaving the pitch for just a total of four minutes in 2019.

PHILLIPS JOINS THE ATTACK
Senior captain Julia Phillips has seen an uptick in her involvement on the offensive side of the pitch in 2019, ranking second on the team with five goals this season. Phillips has found the back of the net five times this season after scoring only three times in her first 45 collegiate contests combined. The Rebel midfielder has been extremely efficient with her offense, needing just 20 shots to record her five goals, putting eight attempts on frame.

FOSTER ENTERS TOP 10
Midway through her junior season, striker Channing Foster is already one of the most prolific scorers in Ole Miss history. The Murray, Kentucky native scored for the third straight game in the 3-0 victory over Long Beach State, the 26th goal of her career, tying her for 10th most on Ole Miss' all-time career scoring list. Now up to 28, Foster will have a shot to topple CeCe Kizer's record of 48 career goals, set just last season.

FROM THE FLAG
Ole Miss currently ranks 22nd in the nation with 6.63 corners per game, third most in the SEC. However, much of the Rebels' total was built up early in the season. The Rebels have failed to register five corners or more in seven of the last 10 matches after racking up double digit attempts from the corner flag in four of the season's first five contests. Ole Miss is averaging 3.75 corner kick attempts in SEC play, the third fewest in the league.
