Ole Miss Baseball Hosts Memphis on Friday at 5 p.m. CT

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss baseball will host Memphis on Friday for the second of two fall games against outside competition. The Rebels and Tigers are set for a 5 p.m. CT first pitch at Oxford-University Stadium/Swayze Field.

The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, October 26, but rain forced the two teams to reschedule.

The two regional rivals have met 150 times during spring competition, and the Rebels have won the last four meetings thanks to season sweeps of the Tigers in 2018 and 2019. Ole Miss holds a 97-53 advantage in the all-time series, though this fall exhibition won't count toward that total.

Ole Miss topped Memphis at AutoZone Park this past March, plating two runs in the ninth inning to hold on for a 9-6 victory. In April, the Rebels followed a strong pitching performance by Zack Phillips and others to a 5-2 win in Oxford.

The squads will play 12 innings, split into two six-inning segments. After the first six innings, the scoreboard will be cleared, and after a brief intermission, the teams will pick back up for the final six frames.

Admission is free, and Rebel Nation is encouraged come out and get an early glimpse at the 2020 Rebels and the nation's No. 2 incoming recruiting class.

Parking will be available across from the stadium on Taylor Road as well as the parking lot behind left field. Gates, limited to the ones behind home plate, left field, and the student gate in right field, will open at 3 p.m. CT for the start of Ole Miss batting practice. Any coolers brought in must be done through either the left field or student gate. Concessions will be available at the main gate only. No pets are allowed at the exhibition.

The Diamond Club and Dugout Club will not be open for access, but all other outdoor seating will be available for fans.
