Volleyball 2019 Signees: Payton Brgoch

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss Volleyball head coach Steven McRoberts announced his Class of 2020 last week during National Signing Day, welcoming five additions to the Rebel roster next fall.
Each day, olemisssports.com will introduce a new member of the 2020 squad. The recruiting class includes multiple national and high school champions, two Top 100 senior aces according to PrepVolleyball.com, and numerous regional and state honors.
Two of the new Rebels, outside hitters GG Carvacho and Samantha Schnitta, will join the squad next semester, with the other three- Emily Hawes, Amber Bischel, and Payton Brgoch- arriving in Oxford next fall.
Today, we meet middle blocker Payton Brgoch.
PAYTON BRGOCH
Middle Blocker | 6'3 | Parker, Colo. | Lutheran High School
Payton is in her final season with the Lions, who are coming off a 2018 3A state title. She is a three-time First Team All-Conference selection and two-time First Team All-State. Brgoch was named the 3A State Player of the Year, and also dubbed with AVCA Under Armour All-American Honorable Mention honors.
Brgoch was chosen as a PrepVolleyball high school All-American and a Top 150 Senior Ace, as well as being named to the PrepVolleyball Soph 79 list. She claimed AVCA High School All-Region plaudits, and is also a standout in the classroom, garnering academic All-State First Team recognition and being named to Lutheran's Academic Honor Roll.
Coach McRoberts on Payton: "Payton is a player that came to our camp, and we were keeping an eye on her. [She is] somebody that just improved immensely over a year's period and impressed us a ton with the hard work she put in…She is a really high character person and I know she is going to come in and make an impact right away."
