Rebels Welcome (RV) Missouri for Senior Day, Head to No. 14 Kentucky Saturday

NUMBERS TO KNOW
2:ย Senior Nayo Warnell needs just two solo rejections to move into third place all-time in block solos. Currently with 71, Warnell also ranks in the Top 3 in rally scoring history in block assists, total blocks, and hitting percentage.ย

30:ย Senior Emily Stroup needs just 30 digs to enter the elusive 1,000/1,000 Club. Currently the program's all-time leader with 1,531 kills, she boasts 970 career digs and would become just the third Rebel in rally scoring history to achieve the honor, and the ninth overall.ย

SENIOR DAY AND A GIVEAWAY
In addition to honoring the four seniors prior to Wednesday's game, there will also be two giveaways for Wednesday's game. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive an Ole Miss Volleyball pint glass, and there will also be a Senior poster giveaway.ย

SCOUTING THE TIGERS
(RV) Missouri enters the final week of regulation having won five of their last six contests, surrendering just four sets across 19. The Tigers lead the league with a .303 hitting percentage, a statistic they rank third in the country for. Junior Kylie Deberg not only leads the league with 473 total slams, but she ranks 22ndnationally and is coming off producing 20+ kills on six consecutive matches. Sophomore Kayla Caffey tops the team with 82 blocks, while classmate Andrea Fuentes has earned SEC Setter of the Week four times this season.ย

14th-ranked Kentucky is tied for the league lead with fellow perennial powers Florida, boasting a 14-2 ledger in conference play. Senior outside hitter Leah Edmond has claimed three consecutive SEC Offensive Player of the Week honors, and leads the squad with 413 kills, averaging 4.39 a set. Defensively, Kentucky is led by Leah Meyer, with 117 total blocks, and libero Gabby Curry, who ranks second in the league only to the Rebels' Purcell with 425 digs. The Wildcats have won six in a row and will face LSU Wednesday before hosting the Rebs.ย

RALLY POINTS
- During Sunday's contest at (RV) Texas A&M, senior liberoย Nicole Purcellย became the 25-point rally scoring era single-season leader. Currently with 525, Purcell replaced Caroline Adams' ย 522 mark in 2017, and did it in 24 less sets. Purcell has led the league all season in digs and digs per set (4.77). She tallied 46 on the weekend, averaging 5.11 a set.ย
- Seniorย Nayo Warnellย continues to work her way up the record books. She posted 10 rejections across the two games, and now holds sole possession of second place all-time for block assists at 305, surpassing the program's first All-American Regina Thomas '11.ย
- Warnell also ranks third in program history in career hitting percentage at .318, and third place all-time in total blocks (376) and block solos (71).
- Sophomoreย Lauren Thompsonย and juniorย Izzy Guzikย both provided some spark Sunday at Texas A&M. Thompson turned in a career-best eight kills on a stellar .400 hitting percentage, also a career-high. Guzik tallied 12 digs, a season-high for the transfer.ย ย
- The previous meeting this season between Ole Miss and then-No. 22 Missouri handed the Rebels their first ranked win since 2010.ย
- The four Rebel seniors,ย Nayo Warnell,ย Nicole Purcell,ย Emily Stroup, andย Leah Mulkeyย will be honored before Wednesday's game for their four years of accomplishments for Ole Miss Volleyball.ย
