SEC Announces TV Schedule for 2019 Season
OXFORD, Miss. – The SEC office announced the conference softball TV schedule on Friday, with eight of Ole Miss' games selected to be broadcast to a national audience in 2019.
The Rebels will be featured on the SEC Network seven times during the season, while one Ole Miss game will be broadcasted on ESPNU. Four of the eight games will be played at home, while the majority of the rest of the Rebels' home schedule will be available online through WatchESPN and the ESPN app as part of the SEC Network + digital streaming platform.
Additionally, two of Ole Miss' SEC series in 2019 have been flexed to a Saturday, Sunday, Monday series, with the Arkansas and South Carolina series scheduled to have two games apiece carried on the SEC Network.
The TV schedule kicks off early for Ole Miss as one of the earliest teams in the SEC to be broadcasted to a national audience. Fans will be able to catch the first series of the conference slate on their television set as the SEC Network comes to the Ole Miss Softball Complex for the Sunday and Monday games of Ole Miss' series with the Razorbacks on Mar. 10 and 11.
Two weeks later, the Rebels will once again play on the SEC Network on back-to-back days with the Sunday and Monday games of Ole Miss' series against South Carolina in Columbia set to be carried on the network on Mar. 24 and 25.
Ole Miss will appear on the SEC Network for the fifth time in 2019 on Apr. 19 as the Rebels square off with rival Mississippi State in Starkville. Five days later, the Rebels will take on another Magnolia State opponent in front of a national audience as the SEC Network once again comes to the Ole Miss Softball Complex for Apr. 24's matchup with Southern Miss.
As conference play winds down, a third Ole Miss game will be available on national TV in nine days, with Ole Miss' home meeting with Tennessee on Apr. 28 scheduled to be carried on ESPNU.
Much like previous years, the SEC Network will again carry a special "Based Loaded" edition that will air on the SEC Network on Sunday, May 5. This special "whip-around" telecast will feature portions of every game on the final day of the SEC regular season, including Ole Miss' 12 p.m. contest against Georgia in Athens.
