Rebels Win Fourth Straight, Top Princeton Friday

Ole Miss down 1-0 against No. 16 Alabama in second round
MONTGOMERY, Ala. -- Highlighted by a pair of come-from-behind third set victories, Ole Miss Men's Tennis earned their fourth consecutive win Friday, downing Princeton 4-2 in the opening round of the Blue Gray National Tennis Classic, held at Lagoon's Park Tennis Center in Montgomery.
The Rebels continued their day in a conference preview of sorts, facing league foe No. 16 Alabama in doubles. The two squads will conclude the match with singles play, slated for a 10:30 a.m. start.

MATCH 1: OLE MISS 4, PRINCETON 2
Ole Miss took an early lead after identical 6-3 marks at first and third doubles. The veteran duo of Tim Sandkaulen and Filip Kraljevic rallied after dropping the first set, besting a ranked pair of Tigers in Ryan Seggerman/Damian Rodriguez (#27). The win is Sandkaulen and Kraljevic's first this season over a ranked opponent.
After dropping their opening sets, Kraljevic and freshman Karlo Kranic each powered back to victory with back-to-back set wins.
Fellow rookie Simon Junk was also successful, providing the Rebels with a point at fifth singles at with a relatively smooth 6-2, 6-1 decision.

Ole Miss will have to play catch up Saturday, falling behind 1-0 to conference foe Alabama in the doubles point.
Kraljevic and Sandkaulen looked poised to work magic once again, dueling with the Tide at first singles for the deciding point before dropping a heartbreaking 7-6 (9) set.
Junk and Kranic moved to 2-0 on the day, winning 6-2 at No. 3 singles.
Singles play will conclude Saturday at 10:30 a.m.

Ole Miss will play its final match of the tournament Saturday evening before beginning SEC action Friday, March 1, welcoming Kentucky to the Palmer/Salloum Tennis Center.
